Finding Out About System Trading

sâmbătă, martie 27th, 2010

Jumping into the art of trading can be a long and arduous task. Learning about it and mastering it can take months, even years. And even with all that training, you will still find yourself lost in the shuffle.

So now, what can one aspiring trader do? The most important thing to consider, after learning all you can about trading is continuing education. What does this mean? It means keeping yourself up to date with all the changes in the world of system trading.

The world of trading shifts constantly, and one must be kept on his or her toes on all events that may change. If not, you may find yourself stuck between a rock and a hard place if you don’t know what to do. To have a sort of continuing education is important also so that you won’t forget the aspects of trading you may use sparingly. but the main objective is to be kept up to date.

To give an example, if you wish to be kept up to speed with the crude oil market, and the forex market, you’d have to visit multiple blogs just to be abreast of the changing trends. One answer to that is to follow a system trading blog that caters to all aspects of trading that you are interested in. Though some topics may not be applicable to you, it is good practice to learn them still so that you would be prepared for whatever eventuality you may encounter.

Getting back to the crude oil market, if you are like me, I know nothing about it when I started, but while I was doing my continuing education, I learned all about easy. This gives me an edge on my peers as well giving me an option to look into trading into the crude oil market. So whether you are into oil, forex or what have you, be sure to continue learning not just on your chosen field, but also with the other branches of trading. This will ensure you not getting caught with your pants down if ever something undesirable happens.

Can you make money investing in mutual funds?

sâmbătă, martie 27th, 2010

I have money in a 529 plan and an IRA. I understand those and their tax implications. I don’t understand how you make money from investing in mutual funds just normally and the tax implications. If a mutual fund sells something… then you have to pay taxes on it? I am not quite sure how that process works. I know Vanguard has funds, but I’m not sure how investing in them without the tax benefits from the IRA and such can help me. Thank you.

I don’t think those three people understood your question…or else I didn’t. What you want to know is : can Investing in Mutual Funds still be profitable if it’s not tax deferred, right?
Certainly it can… you DO have to give the government a cut, but you can still come out wayyyy ahead.
The Mutual Fund is your investment…whatever trades they make , gains, losses, etc, mean nothing during the year…at the end of the year , your money, your ” portion” of the fund has made some money…and THAT is what you pay taxes on… The fund sends you a 1099 form , it shows the amounts of capital gains and dividends that you have earned…there are simple lines for those entries on your tax form… enter them, do the math … and you ‘re ahead a certain amount.
Most of the taxes paid in cap gains and divs are at a lower rate than your normal earned income…( at least right now they are…may change with a full- blown Dem government…still…no problem…the funds can make you money..( you just have to give some of it to politicians to spend on what THEY think is important)
… but no matter what they take..you have still added money to YOUR own account…and the mere fact that you have, increases the amount you will add in the next year…if your fund earns the same percentages…( Surely, you’ve seen that result in your retirement accounts)

Could you teach me a manual forex trading systems that can work best on marketiva platform?

sâmbătă, martie 27th, 2010

I trade forex on marketiva platform, and I am looking for a good trading manual system I could use to get more pips trading on marketiva mini forex account

First of all you must have good trading discipline. Without it you are destined to fail. And you’re right you need a good trading plan. Many successful traders have a very basic signalling system and with forex you get trade it either by fundamentals or by technical.

A Trading plan using fundamentals would be using news and economic releases.

A trading plan using technicals would use a charts. Start of using EMA’s. Try a MACD or RSI. But remember to keep it simple.

What is the best way to learn fundamental forex trading?

sâmbătă, martie 27th, 2010

Is Forex Trading worthwhile as a second income generator?

Well you could take courses on US and World economics, read some financial economies books and/or know when and the fundamental news that affects price swings are reported. Stay clear during these volatile times because they can take out your stop in a heartbeat and a few beats later go back the other way. And remember that the news could already be mostly priced into the current price.

Link will answer many questions and answers you should know. I have 3 accounts (never put all your money/eggs in one account/basket). You can start with $500 when you can afford to open account. Since you are just starting you will lose money if you don’t learn the basics, first. #1 best tip, don’t trade your real money until you try trading demo account. When you can trade a demo for about 2-3months daily and make money then if you feel ready slowly start trading real money. So making and/or losing money depends on how well you can trade. For some it very profitable, for many it is not. So trading with the right tools and knowledge can become a very good income(s) for short and long term goals. And trade with the current trend.

I use Lightning Strikes Trading System for trading in any time frame and it works on forex, stocks, bonds, etf’s, Mutual Funds, etc… They have 3 free training sessions a week and you don’t have to buy the software to join in the live chat and text. They focus their training/trading on the Forex markets major currencies. You can even watch some recorded past live sessions. Here are some past charts that I used.

http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/MB16RxjOUQt…

There are 7 indicators (2 short, 2 medium, and 3 long term) and if volume is reported another one is added (on balance volume). Plus whatever time-frame is used the 2 green horizontal lines are the support and resistance for that time frame. So when indicators are all touching the bottom price is at or very, very near support. At top is at or very, very near resistance. Which helps my entry/exits and risk/reward ratio.
